Hello AHS Friends: I'm sitting down to update my Classmates Page. I don't always have the time to do it more often.....Sorry.... I continue to see from all the visits to my profile page you want to know how life has been treating me so here goes! Today is August 19, 2020 and my family, like so many others are trying to adjust to life with masks, no hugs and lots of ridiculous interruptions!!!!!! I cannot wait for my fabulous Senior Years to re-start back up again. Instead of feeling Golden, they are feeling.....well rusty and blah. Our beautiful Madison is now a full-fledged adult........22 years old and a Senior at "Western Governor's University". It's a complete 4-6 year program offered online. You can go as far as getting your Masters with this program which she is considering. Due to the closure of most public colleges here in Washington State, she opted for a school where she could get her Major in Elementary Education and her Minor in Special Needs Education and move back home to save $$$. Her future goal is to become a Kindergarten Teacher and be a part of young kids’ hearts and education values from an early age. If you haven’t visited my profile in a while you wouldn’t have known we moved from Saratoga, CA. to Spokane, WA. over 8 years ago. That means, we've gone from year-round sunshiney California weather to a very rainy and cold and sometimes very snowy city in the Pacific Northwest. We said our final goodbyes and drove out of Saratoga on June 28th, 2012. We took a few days to travel and see the sights from Weed, CA. through Oregon and Seattle finally reaching HOME on July 3rd. Just in time for the Spokane 4th of July Fireworks over the River......reminds me of the small town community spirit I knew growing up in A'dale. My husband had dreamed of retiring and being free from his 30-year Government job for so long and now he is. We travel a lot more now that we are retired and have two places we visit often. We just love Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Vancouver, Canada. We enjoy visiting the sights and sounds of our own home state of Washington too. Walla-Walla and Leavenworth are two of our top choices. Believe it or not, there is soooooo much to do here in the Pacific Northwest. We are getting ready to do a family wedding in Florida in November and then we'll be off for a month of fun in the sun, drinks by the pool and just lots of R&R. Looking at a cruise with some of the 1978 classmates in Spring of 2021 and if you want to come, please let me know...I'll have the info sent out to you. I love that we now have the time and the ability to cross off some BUCKET LIST items. A few of these places I've been dreaming of for a while. The Maldives and Fiji are now on my radar and I'm hoping tickets magically appear in my Christmas stocking this year. Hey ladies, you won't ever get what you want if you don't ask Santa for it!!!!! That's a 25 year old secret I just revealed. :o) you're welcome.
